The Literary Table (TLT) is an Author-Reader Club founded by Aloka Dasgupta Niyogi, an initiative under the Arogya Wellbeing Trust, a not-for-profit, public charitable organization based in Dehradun. The core members of the club have authors like Bijoya Sawian, social entrepreneurs, and avid readers like Nita Roy and Usha Guha. Since its inception on Nov. 29, 2022, TLT has hosted nine events. The club runs with an annual membership fee, while the events are open to one and all. It already has a membership strength of 50 members.
TLT serves as a platform for authors, writers, journalists, publishers, and social entrepreneurs, offering enriching experience for book lovers of Doon. The Q and A session allows Booklovers to learn more about their favourite Authors. The diverse backgrounds and storytelling styles of the authors captivate the audience as they discuss their life experiences that inspired them to pen down their books. It is an intimate session with a niche audience who take home memories and books from the featured Authors. The books are showcased by ‘The Book World’, the book partner of TLT.
